Lecture by candle light: The 18 women of Brederode

On Thursday evening, October 3, 2019, the female half of the management couple of Brederode Castle, Angelique Schipper, holds a candle light lecture in the tower room of the donjon by the crackling fire. She is currently writing her 2nd children’s book about the 18 Lords of Brederode. Especially for the Month of History, she dived into the 18 Women of Brederode, because without these women there wouldn’t be wealth and sons who could follow their father. Their story is at least as diverse and interesting to be told. How did the lady of Teylingen became tribe mother of Brederode and how cheerful was the 17th-century daughter of Johan Wolfert van Brederode?
