Living History Weekend with Yolande de Lalaing
26 June - 27 June
The former inhabitants of Brederode Castle come back to life every month for a weekend. There will be the nobles, but also the craftsmen of the Castle. They welcome the visitors, have a chat with them in their medieval clothes or do some other work, such as handicrafts or archery.
This weekend our last castle lady, Yolande de Lalaing, widow of Reinoud II van Brederode, will also be present, together with her cousin Joost de Lalaing, who was stadtholder of Holland and Zeeland from 1480 to 1483. On Sunday, Walraven II van Brederode, Yolande’s son, will be at the castle as well. Become lady-in-waiting to Lady Yolande or knight to protect her. Get a ‘gold’ coin as a reward! And admire Yolande’s Brederode doll collection.
Both days from 11 am to 5 pm.
