Brederode Castle is closed
At the moment, as every year in the winter season, the castle is closed.
After being closed from mid-March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Brederode Castle reopened to the public on 6 June 2020.
However, it is mandatory to buy online tickets with a time slot in advance via this website. Click ‘Tickets’ on the menu. Admission includes the exhibitions and booking fee. This allows us to safely spread the number of visitors across the day.
We have good ventilation, because part of the castle is outside. Inside we have no glass in the windows and, as is the case with a castle ruin, there is a roof missing here and there.
And we ask you to wear a facemask in the interior spaces.
In addition, other measures have been taken, see our Safe Visit Protocol. And if everyone follows all measures, a visit to Brederode Castle will be a Coronaproof trip.
