Opening hours

Until October 28, 2020, Brederode Castle is open to visitors who have pre-booked tickets with a time slot. Please wear a face mask inside the buildings.

Friday 11 am – 5 pm
Saturday 11 am – 5 pm
Sunday 11 am – 5 pm

In the autumn holidays also open on Thursday 15 October 2020 from 11 am – 5 pm.

The premises are currently only accessible to visitors who have pre-booked tickets for the Castle. The teagarden is closed, but you can buy coffee, tea, lemonade and some goodies to go. Please wear a face mask inside the buildings.

For booking please do not call or email, but use our online ticketing system.

Outside the opening hours, appointments can be made during the season for on-demand tours, weddings, photo shoots, private activities and location rentals. Send an email via Contact.

Adjusted admission prices from June 2020

Due to the COVID-19 guidelines, it is mandatory to book tickets online in advance. And please wear a face mask inside the buildings.

These prices include booking fees and access to the additional exhibitions and activities organised at the castle, unless stated otherwise. To comply with the COVID-19 guidelines of the RIVM, you need to book in advance and a route has been set up to ensure the 1.5 meters distance. See Protocol Safe Visit.

Guided tours, Living History weekends, exhibitions and events may be subject to customized prices.

Free parking in the adjacent car park.

Dogs on a leash are welcome too.

PIN (Maestro) is possible. We do not accept credit cards, only for payment of the tickets through the reservation system.

Unfortunately, the Museum Year Card is not valid for Brederode Castle.

Photography & Drones

Photo shoots and drones are only allowed after appointment. Respect the safety and privacy of our visitors, volunteers, who work there, even outside opening hours, and the managers who work and live there.

Accessibility

Brederode Castle is located on velserenderlaan 2, 2082 LA Santpoort-Zuid and is located next to National Park Zuid-Kennemerland with beautiful walking and cycling routes. This area was once owned by the mighty Lords of Brederode.

Public Transport
Take into account the Corona measures! Facemask is mandatory.
Nearby the Castle is a train station.. See www.ov9292.nl train station Santpoort-Zuid, 35 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station. After a 10 minutes walk you are at Brederode Castle;

Bus 481 temporarily does not run, due to corona. Instead, a neighborhood taxi drives the route on demand. Sign up no later than one hour in advance via 088 3394800 (busstop ‘Anna van Saksenlaan’, not on Sundays and public holidays). See www.connexxion.nl

Unfortunately, the Castle itself is poorly accessible to walker/wheelchair users. The Tea Garden, with some help, is accessible to them.
