Opening hours

Due to the Coronavirus, Brederode Castle is closed until 7 April 2020.

Castle Brederode is open to visitors from March to October on:

Wednesday 12 noon – 5 pm
Friday 12 noon – 5 pm
Saturday 11 am – 5 pm
Sunday 11 am – 5 pm

In addition, in 2020 the Castle is open on:

– Easter Monday, Monday 13 April
– King’s Day, Monday 27 April
– Ascension Day, Thursday 21 May
– Whit Monday, Monday 1 June

The Castle is closed on Wednesday 27 May 2020

Outside the opening hours, appointments can be made during the season for tours on request, weddings, photo shoots and location rentals. Send an email via Contact.

Children 0 to 3 years Free

Tea garden is free of charge during regular opening hours. During events, the tea garden may not be accessible for free.

Additional fee for tours, Living History weekends and events.

Free parking in the adjacent car park.

Dogs on a leash are welcome too.

PIN (Maestro) is possible. We do not accept credit cards.

Unfortunately, the Museum Year Card is not valid for Brederode Castle.

Photo shoots and drones are only allowed after appointment. Respect the safety and privacy of our visitors, volunteers and the managers who live on the property.

Please note! Due to maintenance on the Brederoodseweg, the Brederode Castle / Velserenderlaan is temporarily unable to reach from the south via the Brederoodseweg.

The castle is easily accessible by train. See train station Santpoort-Zuid, 35 minutes from Amsterdam Central Station. After a 10 minutes walk you are at Brederode Castle;

Bus 481 stops nearby (stop ‘ Anna van Saksenlaan ‘, not on Sundays and public holidays).

Unfortunately, the castle itself is poorly accessible for wheelchair users. The tea garden, with some help, can be accessed by them.
